Virtual Service and Repair Methods for Jaguar Land Rover

Semcon Informatic utilises its own processes and its proprietary tool Illuminator for developing service and repair methods for Jaguar Land Rover based on input data from CAD models.

All vehicles require regular maintenance and occasional repairs. For this to be done in the most efficient and effective way, service and repair methods as well as their corresponding standard times are required. Semcon Informatic supports Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) with the development, documentation and distribution of such methods for all of its models, as part of a managed services partnership.

• Re-use; a number of repair methods and times developed in the virtual world can be re-used on other vehicles, saving additional cost and time.
• Location; using CAD data means that the repair methods and times engineer can be located remotely from customer if required. This allows Semcon Informatic to utilise cost-effective back-office operations. For JLR, Semcon Informatic uses resource in Kineton, UK and in Budapest, Hungary.
