Skills Centre Production

We constantly look for ways to improve our production processes. Our establishment of skills centres within our organization is one of the approaches we use.

We operate our skills centres in what we call a Front Office/Back Office (FOBO) set-up, in which we combine our customer requirements regarding availability, proximity and quality with synergies of scale and process efficiency.
 

In our FOBO approach we have:

  • A Front Office (FO) located close to our customer
    • The FO takes full responsibility for all production activities including quality and delivery
    • The FO continuously supports the Back Office (BO) with subject matter expertise and customer interface management
  • A Back Office (BO) where we have a pool of competent resources:
    • The BO performs selected activities within the production process
    • The BO aggregates volumes and resources, creating economies of scale
