History

Semcon was founded in Sweden in 1980 as a technical development company. During the late 1980’s Semcon started working with technical information in order to offer its customer a broader spectrum of services related to the technical development area. Experiencing a great demand for high-quality customer service solutions, the company established Semcon Informatic as a business area within the Semcon Group in 1999.
Semcon Informatic has grown steadily since then and has over the years established a large number of managed services partnerships with world-leading manufacturers. Volvo Car Corporation, GM/Saab Automobile, AB Volvo, Jaguar & Land Rover are a few examples of companies that have chosen Semcon Informatic as their partner. In 2005 we took another large step in our development process when we expanded into Eastern Europe and Asia as we started up businesses in China and Hungary. With these new locations we are able to offer better support locally for our global customers.
